Families That Vacation Together Save Bigtime

There are many reasons to rent a vacation home rather than staying at a resort hotel or motel. Relative costs are debatable, but I believe that the vacation home will ultimately be less expensive. But the reasons for staying at a vacation home wrap around the costs.
When you choose a vacation home you pay a flat fee for the entire house instead of a cost per person or per room as you might in a hotel. This is a great option and opportunity to get your family to vacation together, such as grandparents and sisters and brothers and their kids.
So, if it is just you and your spouse and maybe one child you can choose a one bedroom cottage with a pull-out couch to a medium sized villa with 3 or 4 bedrooms or splurge on a 10 bedroom luxury estate. Splitting the costs on larger homes with your extended family is the key. You will all come out ahead of the major resorts just on rent alone and we haven’t even touched on the amenities.
A house will ordinarily come with a full sized refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, washer, dryer and an outdoor gas grill. It will also have its own parking area.
Location is important, and there are many of these homes located on beaches across the United States, be it an ocean or a lake. Some are located on golf courses or outside of resort areas. Our families personal favorite sites have been “off campus”, within 30 miles of resort areas because the prices drop dramatically and you are within a half an hour of restaurants, theme parks and everything else that goes with resorts.
We always stock the refrigerator and pantry with breakfast foods, lunch foods, snacks and sodas. Breakfast is always eaten at the house, sometimes lunch and maybe one or two dinners. Remember, part of the fun of a vacation, at least for this Mom is not having to cook every night. When we have had the whole family vacation with us there has always been at least one grand meal at the dining table. That is a meal that goes on toward midnight; you will never have more fun then the grand meal at a beach house.
The savings on breakfast and lunch are astronomical and one dinner in for a family of four will save you around $100.00.
Take your sodas and snacks to the beach in a cooler or if your home is close enough, leave them there and send one of the kids in to get you a Coke, no tipping, another savings.
So, those are dollars and amenities, now let us discuss comfort and convenience. Okay, you probably should make your bed and you will need to perform general light house-keeping but here are the plusses. You do the math.
There will no be anyone banging on your door saying in broken English at 10:00, “Housekeeping”.
You will not be dodging staff maintenance while walking down the hall in your bathing gear.
You will not get stuck in an elevator on the ten thousandth floor with a screaming infant or worse, some scary looking person who keeps eyeing you.
You can run to the refrigerator to get some ice or sodas and snacks in your pajamas instead of getting dressed and going down a hotel hallway.
So, stay up late and play your music loud. Sleep in and ease yourself into your day. Enjoy the freedom of living home away from home. You will be relaxed and you and your family will have an opportunity to grow closer together.
During these difficult times, it is most important to take some time and get away from it all, and cost sharing can be the most effective method to have a splendid vacation. Can Your Cat Get The Flu and What To Do

Can Your Cat Get The Flu?

Human colds do not effect cats, but cats can develop sneezing, runny noses and general lethargy because of an upper respiratory tract infection, much the same as humans. Feline respiratory infections are very contagious to other near-by cats and, as in humans; they can spread quickly to other felines it comes into contact. In some cases, the disease can be prevented from spreading by isolation and sanitation of the feeding bowls. Quick recognition of these symptoms is very important because respiratory diseases are air borne and can be transmitted on your clothing and other fabrics in the house. Most upper respiratory infections run their course in several days. But, it is always best to have your cat checked out by a veterinarian just to be safe. Treatment for your pet is usually proper rest, good nutrition, and proper nursing care. Always be aware of how much your pet is eating and drinking as a loss of appetite is a sure sign that something is wrong. Your cat may become malnourished or dehydrated very quickly and will need to see a veterinarian. Most often your vet will not want to hospitalize your cat unless absolutely necessary because most cats will recover faster at home, usually rehydrating your cat and administrating antibiotics in case of a secondary bacterial infection will take care of the problem. Upper respiratory infections are rarely fatal, but can be very debilitating and in the case of kittens and older cats it can become fatal. Thankfully these upper respiratory tract infections are no longer the problem they used to be before the 1970,s as we now have vaccines that can eliminate the problem, or at lest make the illness less severe and shorter in duration.
Many cats that have recovered from the signs of an upper respiratory tract infection remain carriers and continue to shed the virus for months or even years afterward. Even cats that have never shown obvious signs of a respiratory infection may sometimes carry and shed it. The best thing you can do to avoid feline respiratory infection is to vaccinate your cat and kittens this is the best protection that is available.

Do you toss and turn at night due to chronic or spastic pain. As everyone knows a good night’s sleep is essential to maximum performance of any task the next day and a good night sleep will help anyone with their personal relationships. Waking every morning feeling as tired if not more than when you went to bed can lead to depression, leave you susceptible to catching a wandering virus and at the worst end, can reduce your reaction time when doing something as simple as driving a car.
Another result, which adds insult to injury, is your body will be unable to recuperate from the daily stresses which overwhelm your system, creating a deeper sensitivity to pain, the reason you couldn’t sleep in the first place.
Most will tell you that drugs are not the answer, or at the very most, the last choice after attempting totally holistic methods to increase your ability to sleep.
Here are a few simple tips to try if you are among the millions of people trying to sleep through pain.

Take a soothing warm bath in the evening.
Brush your body with a loofah or brush in the bath.
Ease your painful, tender points with a self-massage device.
Try yoga and or stretching exercises to help you relax.
Listen to calming music before retiring; do not watch the late news.
Try meditation to relieve tension
Keep your sleep area as dark as possible, no flashing answering machine lights or computer screens. One constant light directed to one of your eyes can bring you back to wakefulness.
Keep your sleep area very quiet. Cats and dogs would seem to be pleasant company if you are alone, but they snore, grunt and move around restlessly throughout the night.
Find a comfortable room temperature for yourself and maintain it. Each person is different and you may need to experiment.
Avoid late night snacks and most of all any food that contains caffeine.

These are just a few techniques that can lead to a better nights sleep for anyone who is dealing with aches and pains and would prefer not to lead a better living through medication regimen.

Should I Try to Make Money on Home Surveys

There are so many ways to get ripped off on the internet these days that a lot of people are shying away from using the handiest tool ever invented since the toaster.
The best things to try just to get your feet wet would be the online surveys. You can take your time, you can change your mind or you can put your nose to the grind.
You truly have nothing to lose so long as you always read the fine print.
Do not expect to make a million dollars, but you can take a couple of hours a day or night to earn some additional income.
What should you look for?
Places that do not require you purchase something to earn any income.
If you do purchase items from a site you are surveying make certain that they have a full money back guarantee.
Shy away from sites that ask for your checking account information, they do not need it.
If they offer you opportunities for free vacations or free items, remember, the rule of the internet is “If it is free, it is not for me!”
Try more than one spot.
Take surveys on subjects that interest you, your answers will be truthful and therefore useful to the companies you are surveying for, and you will most likely be asked to be parts of future surveys.
Just remember to not get discouraged if you are just starting your way on working from home.
Nothing good ever comes from never trying.
